Do Redheads Have More Fun?? Well, What Does It Look Like To You?!!

How many of you feel like you just want to break out of your mold and try something new when the warmer weather begins to arrive? It never fails, when the seasons change I get restless. And this time red was calling my name. I seem to always want to go blonde every summer. So I get blonde highlights. But every time I try to go blonde, I get a little coppery. I never seem to hate the copper highlights, but they were not the golden blonde highlights that I was aiming for. After years of battling the blonde, I decided that maybe someone was trying to tell me something. And that something was to go red! So I brought the photo that inspired me (see below) to my hair stylist Charlene at It's All About You Day Spa . This is the look I am going for. Maybe by this fall my bangs will be long enough to look like the gorgeous girl in the photo.....and by next summer the length all over will look exactly like the gorgeous girl in the photo. I asked Charlene if I could just be the...

How To Make Your Closet Into Your Very Own Boutique!

Would you be jealous if I told you that this is my closet? If I were you, I would. But it's not my closet. It's Paris Hilton's. Am I jealous? YES. But only of her closet. Her life is way to easy for me. This is MY closet. And I love it. I now have it pretty much organized, colorized and everything in it is completely accessible. See below for more angles of my closet: {The shoes in the boxes above are the shoes that I am not wearing. They are mostly winter shoes and I do not need to access them right now. I am in the process of taking photos of these shoes and I will be taping the photo of the corresponding shoe on each box.}  My main objective with my wardrobe was to make everything completely accessible. When I am getting dressed I want to be able to see everything and grab it without a struggle. If I want something white I want to know where all my whites are. If I want something red I want to know where all my reds are. Are you getting the idea...

The Importance of A Black {BRAHMIN} Tote Bag

Handbag trends come and go, but there is nothing like a classic black, go with anything, tote. It is big enough to fit all your essentials, yet look timeless and chic no matter what you are wearing. The one featured in my video below and in the photos above is my new BRAHMIN  black patent leather "Anywhere Tote" .  I am simply gaga over this bag! The zipper closure is a great feature but it also has little brass feet on the bottom! This bag is very durable and will last me a lifetime. It will never go out of style so I will carry it for years to come. Find your Brahmin "Anywhere Tote" right here :) {Kate Bosworth carrying a Prada tote}  {On the left is Pippa Middleton carrying a black Modalu tote. It's A Bird! It's A Plane! No, Wait. It's Just Me Wearing VINTAGE!

{If I were a young lady attending my prom, this flow-y pant suit from the 70's would be the one.} Today I had the pleasure of meeting Linda Mitchell-Storer. She is the owner of Vintage Finery in Orrington, Maine. And all I can say is that this lady knows vintage! Her boutique is packed from floor to ceiling with a rare assortment of antique clothing and accessories that she has collected for over 35 years! Her collection, which dates as far back as the 18th century, started as a hobby in her teens and just kept growing and growing. Most customers enter her shop with the intent of finding a costume for a party or a dress for prom, but I can honestly tell you that she has way more than just that! And if you have a love for vintage, Vintage Finery is where you can find the real deal.  {Check out this gorgeous butterfly detail! What girl doesn't adore butterflies?!!}  Looks like a dress, but it's really a super chic jumpsuit. Just my style. And if I were a yo...

TREND ALERT! You Don't Have to Match Your Mani To Your Pedi!

Okay, so last May I wrote a blog titled "Should You Match Your Mani To Your Pedi?" I basically said that you will look more pulled together and totally chic if you do match. And I also said that painting your nails a light sheer nude peach or pink shade works if you have bright toes or vice versa. Well, I am now going to tell you that contrasting is cool. Meaning, wearing an orange polish on your toes and a pink polish on your fingers actually is the trend of this very moment! So go ahead and be bold! Blue toe nails & green fingernails, purple fingernails & yellow toenails. Those are a couple of my favorite combos. Remember to just be careful with this trend. If you are going to a job interview or someplace that you need to make a great first impression, I suggest you hold back with these bold color combos until you go on vacation. The chicest looks in my mind are still matching mani to pedi OR color on toes and a sheer nude on nails or vice versa. Get it? Got ...
