Maine Girl

It is FINALLY warm enough to wear shorts in Maine! I have two credentials that must be met before I put a pair of shorts on. It has to be at least 70 degrees and sunny. And here in Maine, the weather has been surprisingly consistent! I say that with hesitation because I know that when you live in Maine you must understand that if you wait a minute the weather can completely change. That's why layers are so very important. Someone asked me the other day why the heck pineapples are so popular? That question actually made me stop and think for a brief minute. Then I quickly responded, "Because they grow in places that are basically paradise and who doesn't want to wear a little bit of paradise?!" Plus, I think they are such a pretty fruit. J.Crew has managed to make them into a colorful fruit on this Campbell Italian linen blazer , and of course I am a sucker for color. Traditionally pineapples have become a symbol of warmth, welcome, friendship and hospitality. All things that make me feel happy.
