Casual and comfortable does not have to equal sweatpants, but I am serious when I tell you that I was just as comfortable as I am when I wear my sweatpants in this look! I have decided to treat my feet this week with these shoes by Rieker and boy am I glad I did! I feel like I am floating on air! And I felt so pretty in this top from Talbots . Who would've guessed that it's a t-shirt! The jacket I wore is also very comfortable. It might look like denim but it's actually a very lightweight Tencel fabric. Green is such a beautiful color. Some of you who are lucky enough to live in a state where you see lush greenery around you all the time may take this shade for granted. Here in Maine, we are just starting to see signs of green after a long winter. I have not seen anything green growing since last October. That's seven whole months! I have ran into a lot of ladies who say they can't wear yellow because it makes them look washed out, and I get that. But what if you experimented a little and found the right shade of yellow for your skin tone? I think you would be amazed at how the color yellow can make you feel. For me the feeling is comparable to the sun shining on me all day! Yellow makes me happy. And as pale as I am, I found that this canary yellow linen Regent blazer from J. Crew was perfect for me. It's a jacket I will wear every summer for years to come. Do you have a favorite classic go-to piece for summer? You know, that piece that makes you feel great when you get it on? Today might be casual Friday, but somehow I always manage to dress up! I wanted to wear this pretty necklace created exclusively for Talbots by creative director for O Magazine Adam Glassman. I think that it is so unique and it certainly should not be saved for some peoples idea of a "special occasion" since I truly think every day that I wake up in a cozy bed is a special occasion!
