I Feel Special!

{Brahmin Anytime Tote. It even has little gold feet on the bottom! So pretty.}
When I got home from work today this Brahmin "Anytime Tote" was waiting for me sealed in a box on my doorstep. I couldn't even imagine what it was since I have been behaving so well and making a point to not do any online shopping. Then I remembered the other day when I got an e mail from the Vogue Influencer Network saying that for being an "influencer" I could get a free Brahmin bag  if I was one of the first 10 or so to accept the gift. When I accepted the gift there were only 6 left. But supposedly I was going to get one. I decided that I would believe it when I saw it. At the time I had no idea what kind of bag. There was no picture of it. I thought it might just be a tiny wristlet, which would have been absolutely fine with me. Anything free is fabulous especially when it is from a company that produces this kind of quality craftsmanship! But, guess what? It wasn't a wristlet. It was a super chic croco-embossed shoulder bag in a fabulous shade of pistachio!!! They call it the Anytime Tote. It is super spacious on the inside and even came with it's very own dust bag. Below you will find a few more photos of this gorgeous Brahmin Bag. But sorry ladies. This bag won't be available in stores until May and will be available on Brahmin.com on April 15th. Remember, good things come to those who wait! :)

Fashion Is For Models. STYLE Is For Real Women.

The fashion world has always favored skinny models to show off the latest trends. But it's the real women who actually buy them. Why does this make sense? Well I guess when it comes right down to the brutal truth, people buy things that look good. And lets face it, clothes look better when they are smaller. It's kind of like when I go into a store to try on shoes and the one on display that I am attracted to is a size 6 or 7 and then the sales clerk brings out my size (9 or 9/2) and I'm like "That's not the same shoe, is it? The one on display looks different!" The clerk tells me that it is in fact the same shoe. Suddenly, I don't want to try it on anymore. So, I just want to tell all you ladies out there who are not a size 4 in a dress that I get it. But we can't let it bother us.  Fashion is everywhere and marketing is everywhere and the majority of it is big beautiful pictures of skinny people. Keep in mind, models in magazines have the b...

FALL for Flowers!

{Leifsdottir Alegrias tiered floral skirt} Totally unpredictable and completely cool. Flowers for fall are exactly what you need to take your "I miss summertime" blues away. There are no rules in fashion. It's just about achieving a look that is your best and that you feel good in. Who says plaid is the only print you can wear in the fall? Now, don't get me wrong. Plaid is one of my favorite patterns. So maybe we can mix them together! {See below} Flower patterns are fun and so glamorous during any season. Just make your floral skirts a little more fall like by wearing a pair of colorful tights! Can you say FLOWER POWER?! And we are going to need some major FLOWER POWER especially when the temperature begins to drastically drop. {Christopher Kane ~ garden leather mini skirt} {Carolina Herrera}

The Necessary Black T-Shirt

I have to admit, I have not been getting dressed up much these days. I think it has something to do with just wanted to be comfortable. I have been sewing a ton of masks at The Maine Square   and it just feels better to not be confined in my clothing as I am cutting fabric and sewing. However, I do have to go out of the studio occasionally. Mostly it's to the mailbox, but sometimes it's to get more supplies and of course food. I don't mean to sound pretentious or anything, but I do think about how I look even when going out to do these quick errands. It makes me feel good to look half decent! Lately I have been opting for a simple black tee shirt and a pair of semi faded jeans. All I need to do it pop on a camel colored blazer and some ballet flats and I am good to go! Oh yeah, and I ALWAYS wear a mask when entering a public facility these days. I think it's just common courtesy with all that is going on with the corona virus.  Here are some of my all-time favori...
