How To Incorporate Yellow Into Your Wardrobe

This is a perfect example of what I meant a few days ago when I said that yellow is the new neutral for Spring 2012. One might choose black, nude, brown or gray pumps by instinct to wear with this gorgeous violet dress by designer Angel Sanchez pictured on the model below. But notice how the yellow pumps seem to work incredibly well. Take any bright color that you are going to purchase this spring be it royal blue, red, pink or aqua and put a yellow accessory with it. Can you say FABULOUS?!!!

Or if you don't feel good about wearing yellow as a neutral this spring then go ahead and make it your accent color to any neutral.

white look. I have to say that I naturally began to reach for my fitted black velvet blazer, but I stopped myself! I threw on the yellow jacket and some coral lipstick and out the door I went!

Fashion Is For Models. STYLE Is For Real Women.

The fashion world has always favored skinny models to show off the latest trends. But it's the real women who actually buy them. Why does this make sense? Well I guess when it comes right down to the brutal truth, people buy things that look good. And lets face it, clothes look better when they are smaller. It's kind of like when I go into a store to try on shoes and the one on display that I am attracted to is a size 6 or 7 and then the sales clerk brings out my size (9 or 9/2) and I'm like "That's not the same shoe, is it? The one on display looks different!" The clerk tells me that it is in fact the same shoe. Suddenly, I don't want to try it on anymore. So, I just want to tell all you ladies out there who are not a size 4 in a dress that I get it. But we can't let it bother us. FALL for Flowers!

{Leifsdottir Alegrias tiered floral skirt} Totally unpredictable and completely cool. Flowers for fall are exactly what you need to take your "I miss summertime" blues away. There are no rules in fashion. It's just about achieving a look that is your best and that you feel good in. Who says plaid is the only print you can wear in the fall? Now, don't get me wrong. The Necessary Black T-Shirt

I have to admit, I have not been getting dressed up much these days. I think it has something to do with just wanted to be comfortable. I have been sewing a ton of masks at The Maine Square and it just feels better to not be confined in my clothing as I am cutting fabric and sewing. However, I do have to go out of the studio occasionally. Mostly it's to the mailbox, but sometimes it's to get more supplies and of course food. I don't mean to sound pretentious or anything, but I do think about how I look even when going out to do these quick errands. It makes me feel good to look half decent! Lately I have been opting for a simple black tee shirt and a pair of semi faded jeans. All I need to do it pop on a camel colored blazer and some ballet flats and I am good to go!
