Off The Cuff!

The cuff. One of my most favorite must haves for spring 2012! You can spend a lot or a little. I dream about the cuff above by  Philippe Audibert . It is one of my favorites. You can find it on Net-a-Porter . Below you will find me modeling my pretty yet affordable cuff that I found at Charlotte Russe a few months ago. Who would know that this pretty little thing was under $10??? Here are more examples of my most favorite cuffs in all the land: { Armenta Scalloped Oxidized Cuff } { Lanvin Wing Cuff } { Tory Burch Wide Logo Cuff } { Hoorsenbuhs Red Nubuck Strap Cuff } P.S. The trend right now is to wear more than one cuff at a time. I happen to adore this look. {Photo courtesy of Tommy Ton }

How Do YOU Make YOUR Garden Grow?

Spring hasn't quite sprung yet here in Maine. (I just woke up and the thermometer read 21 degrees!) But that doesn't mean that I am not soooo looking forward to it! And with spring on it's way you know what that means, don't you? FLOWERS!  And once again we are seeing floral prints on all the runway models for spring 2012. See below for some gorgeous looks by some magnificent designers: {Marc Jacobs} {Nanette Lepore} {Miu Miu} {Valentino} And below you will find my own floral garden (this is the only kind I can successfully grow.) Every year I seem to purchase another flowered friend. The floral trend is one that you can count on NEVER going out of style. I even seem to wear some in winter! So feel safe when you make your floral purchase this spring. And no watering is needed! {Can you guess which floral piece is my latest purchase?}

Look At Me LIPS!

Another spring trend for 2012 is a shiny bright translucent shade for your lips. My pick is Victoria's Secret Lip Gloss in Impulsive worn over Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited in RD 165 .  {Earrings from Laura's Style Boutique } Other great shades are: Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Sheer Candy in Sweet Fig Cover Girl LipPerfection Lipcolor in Hot

Peplum POWER!

Ahhhhhh, Spring!! And with Spring just around the corner I know you will be looking for something new to freshen up your wardrobe and perk up your life! This week and next I will be sharing with you my favorite trends for Spring 2012 and I can't even tell you how excited I am. It seems that now more than ever ladies are breaking out of their boxes. I can't explain it. I just think that we all need a change, or a lift in our spirits. Maybe that's why I love fashion so much. It can completely turn my mood 360 degrees. Yes, it's a good thing. Today I am talking THE PEPLUM. It's a must. It is such a gorgeous style that brings to mind early 1900's Europe. I feel I lived back then in a past life.....in England perhaps. Here is my personal peplum pick from  ASOS . It is a must! So wearable with anything from shorts to trousers to a pencil skirt or jeans.  Michelle Williams in Jason Wu. Soo pretty. And I have been on the hunt for this peplum top fr...

Laura's Style's Fashion Item Of The Month! {February 2012}

You knew I just HAD to pick something red for my item of the month. For February is month of love you know. I have been wanting a pair of red pants for a long time and I thought that now was a great time to finally actually own a pair. After doing a ton of research and analyzing what type of red pants would be the perfect pair for me, I came to the conclusion that these River Island Kick Flare Trousers from ASOS were the winners! They are made of a ponte knit fabric so they are a great weight for almost all four seasons. Now I can wear red pants all year long!! They should surely brighten up my winter and they will be totally cool of course worn in spring and summer especially when paired with a navy jacket or a nautical striped tee. They are also gonna be great in the fall worn with my wool camel or black velvet blazers. See below to view how I decided to style them for the first time I wore them:  ~brown corduroy blazer from Victoria's Secret ...

One Pretty Scarf Worn With Not Three, but FOUR Different Looks

One of my most recent purchases (and best bargain of the month at $15) was this scarf I found on sale at Talbots . There was just something about the color combo and the print that I loved. I think the floral print attracted me because flowers are always happy and remind me of spring, but the fact that it was in a darker print made it more wear now instead of only a spring/summer piece. Again I have taken on the Well to do, you  closet challenge, and this time I used this scarf. The challenge was to wear something three different ways. I did four. Sorry Suz. I just had to bend the rules a tiny bit ;) See my photos below to see how I incorporated this scarf into not three but four different looks:  Work Look #1 ~vintage Talbots wool camel blazer ~black v-neck tee Gap ~black skinny crops Gap ~suede camel platform pumps by Sofft ~bracelet from Talbots ~ring Silpada Work Look #2 ~ Talbots velvet blazer ~ Talbots black tights ~ Banana ...
