My Mixed Up Ladylike Look

Some days you plan your outfit. Some days you wing it. I would call this a "wing it" kind of day. I just so happened to own these items. I didn't intend on wearing them together. I had to get up early to get my son to his job, my husband to his job and me to my job. My shower began at 6am. And here I am!! After I put it all together I was feeling a little bit Nanette Lepore , who just happens to be one of my favorite designers. I just love her mixed up ladylike looks! I do own a few pieces of Nanette Lepore's designs, but the pieces I chose today were not any of them. However I was still feeling inspired by her. What were you inspired by today??

My "Lucky" Talbots Purchase

{Necklace and blouse from Talbots} Everyone thinks that Talbots clothes are so gosh darn expensive!! Well, I am here to say contraire mon frere! Talbots clothes may be absolutely STUNNING, however they are no more expensive than many other brands. PLUS Talbots has amazing sales. This poet top from Talbots only cost me $13.99!   There are certain instances that you will not want to wait for a sale. Like when you really want something so bad that you actually dream about it. If that is the case then you will want to forget about waiting for it to go on sale. Chances are your size will be gone if you wait! I just happened to get lucky on this one;) See my photos below to see how I wore it: Talbots from head to toe. {ring by Silpada}

Purple and Aqua

Today, there was no way around it. I had to dress for comfort. Merchandising the store is no easy task. And it certainly would not be realistic to wear heals. Here is what I wore:

My Mint Obsession

My Mint Obsession by lauraly featuring vintage style jewelry Meet my latest obsession. Anything and everything in mint green! Why mint green you ask? Well, it's a perfectly pretty shade to wear during the summer months. It looks great with a tan. And it just makes you look cool even when you are HOT. I know what you are thinking. What colors look good worn with mint green? See below for a list: soft pink soft peach orange lavender yellow navy brown  and of course black See below for some more minty inspirations! I adore this mint vintage dress! {Mint Jeans by Hudson available at  Shopbop } Who knew that mint and lilac could look so cool together?! (Notice the one lilac nail?)   Mint bow flats by JCrew . So pretty and feminine. {Minty green "Simple Elegance" and "Lucky Leaf" earrings available at  Laura's Style Boutique } {mint bag} {Mint decor}

It's SUMMERTIME!

Today I am celebrating the first day of summer with this cute breezy sun dress from Talbots! I hope you will celebrate with me! I didn't have much time to do my hair this morning, so I just put some hair in a little pony tail at the top of my head and tucked it underneath to create it this twist. So simple!

Ruffles Galore!

Yesterday I was in the mood for ruffles. I love this ruffled top that I found at Target 2 years ago! I made sure to wear something very slim on the bottom. My slim leg cropped jeans from Talbots were  perfect! They zip on the side so there's no extra bulk in that middle area. (Nobody needs that) My ruffles gave me plenty of volume up top already !

My Slightly Stressful Turned Glorious Day!

This morning was a little hectic for me even though I got to go into work a little later than normal. I guess it was a little more of a head problem that I was having. I was meeting my new District Manager for the first time. It actually was my day off but, I wanted to go into work to meet her. PLUS I am in the process of hiring a new sales associate/stylist so I wanted to get her started on her new hire paper work asap. (BTW, welcome Jacquelyn!! You are gonna be a great addition to our team!) So, I knew that I was not technically "working" today, but I still wanted to be presentable. I thought that my dark denim skinny cropped jeans and my gray and white gingham checked blouse would be appropriate. For just a little color and contrast I added the scarf (it's a good thing I did because it was quite chilly this morning) and I also added the aqua enamel bracelet to reflect in the colors if the scarf. The gold/silver chain bracelet just made this look a little less sa...
