No Hairstyle, No Make-Up? Don't Bother Getting Dressed.
This is my opinion and my opinion only. I believe that if you are going to leave the make-up off and the hair undone then you might as well not get dressed. Now, I don't mean that you should go around naked all day. Right now, you'd be kind of chilly if you did that. As least here in Maine you would be. What I mean, is that your hair style and your make-up are probably more important than the actual outfit itself. Without those two elements, there is no "look." I'm sorry all you au naturals out there, but it's true. Which is why I tend to not even think about what I am going to wear before my hair and make-up are in tact. All I can say is, thank goodness for showers, hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons and make up......especially mascara and concealer for me. What are your make-up musts?
I have only met a handful of girls who look like a million dollars with zero make-up. Did I mention that I hate those girls?! Just kidding. And it seems like they have no idea of what they've got. Did I mention that I hate those girls?! The above photo is of myself on one of my vacation days wearing no make-up. Did I get dressed that day? Sure. I wore a black tank top and a pair of yoga pants. Which isn't really a "look" per say. Did my husband and my friends and family still like me? Of course they did. And it felt good to take a break from it all.
The point that I am trying to make is that you just can't go into a store and purchase a new wardrobe and expect to put on an outfit and be ready to take on the world. Your hair and your make-up speak volumes more about you than your clothes. Think of your clothes as the icing on the cake. Think of your hairstyle and make-up as the cake. You can't put icing on something that isn't there.
