I have ran into a lot of ladies who say they can't wear yellow because it makes them look washed out, and I get that. But what if you experimented a little and found the right shade of yellow for your skin tone? I think you would be amazed at how the color yellow can make you feel. Today might be casual Friday, but somehow I always manage to dress up! I wanted to wear this pretty necklace created exclusively for Talbots by creative director for O Magazine Adam Glassman. I think that it is so unique and it certainly should not be saved for some peoples idea of a "special occasion" since I truly think every day that I wake up in a cozy bed is a special occasion! There is no way around it. You must have a simple black shirtdress in your closet at all times. You never know when it will come in handy. I simply couldn't resist this Scattered Fruit Sweater from Talbots ! It is something that I can wear now because it's a lightweight sweater which we are still wearing here in New England, but it reminds me of the tropics. I have been all about COLOR lately. BRIGHT COLORS as a matter of fact. I think the gray days in Maine are getting to me, but I seem to just keep on keeping on just the same! I have to admit, getting dressed at this time of year can be a huge challenge for many of us, including myself. I want to dress for Spring, but layers are certainly necessary. But I am not sad or even a tiny bit mad. Part of the reason for that might be the fact that I happen to have today off! But the biggest reason I am not upset about this snow storm, is the fact that it is the end of March and the snow won't last long. You know what today is a good day for? A good closet clean up!
