The Necessary Accessory

Here are a couple of accessories that I am DYING over right now!!! I feel that a red patent leather pump is something that will never go out of style so why not splurge a little! This one pictured here by Cole Haan is THE ONE. The heel is perfect and I will be able to wear it for 8 hours at work without killing myself for fashion, which I seem to do on a regular basis because it's worth it! But now I won't have to, or at least when I wear these shoes. They will look so great with anything from a little black cocktail dress to a pair of skinny white jeans, which is another necessary item I am on the hunt for this summer.

This is another necessary accessory that I am after and I finally found the perfect one! This lovely little red patent leather belt with the gold buckle trim detail came from Cole Haan as well. It is just perfect. And since I am really getting into gold jewelry (costume jewelry of course) this belt will be the perfect match. Not that I haven't been known to mix it up from time to time:-) And by the way, the red patent belt is not necessarily meant to be worn with the red patent shoes. This could tend to be red patent over kill. One must be careful;-)

The fashion world has always favored skinny models to show off the latest trends. But it's the real women who actually buy them. Why does this make sense? Well I guess when it comes right down to the brutal truth, people buy things that look good. And lets face it, clothes look better when they are smaller. FALL for Flowers!

{Leifsdottir Alegrias tiered floral skirt} Totally unpredictable and completely cool. Flowers for fall are exactly what you need to take your "I miss summertime" blues away. There are no rules in fashion. It's just about achieving a look that is your best and that you feel good in. Who says plaid is the only print you can wear in the fall? Now, don't get me wrong. The Necessary Black T-Shirt

I have to admit, I have not been getting dressed up much these days. I think it has something to do with just wanted to be comfortable. I have been sewing a ton of masks at The Maine Square   and it just feels better to not be confined in my clothing as I am cutting fabric and sewing. However, I do have to go out of the studio occasionally. Mostly it's to the mailbox, but sometimes it's to get more supplies and of course food. I don't mean to sound pretentious or anything, but I do think about how I look even when going out to do these quick errands. It makes me feel good to look half decent! Lately I have been opting for a simple black tee shirt and a pair of semi faded jeans. All I need to do it pop on a camel colored blazer and some ballet flats and I am good to go! Oh yeah, and I ALWAYS wear a mask when entering a public facility these days.
