What Can A Red Belt Do For You?

You would be amazed at what a red belt can do for your wardrobe. To me, a red belt is a MUST HAVE for every wardrobe. You just never know when you might need that extra little pop of color. There are so many sizes and shapes you can choose from. You might just need more than one!

I decided that this skinny red belt from Talbots would be good investment. I love how it is a little long and I can just tuck it when wearing it high on the waist to add a little interest. OR I can wear it in my belt loops down lower on my hips. Either way, I feel like it was a smart purchase. It will take me far in my many styling techniques.

This white dress that Cameron Diaz is wearing is stunning on it's own. The red belt just took it to a whole new level!

Come on, a black and white polka dot dress is screaming for a red belt! This is a no brainer ;-)

I ADORE this look that Michelle is wearing in this photo. Even without the red belt she would look fantastic, but the red belt just made it a WOW factor!

Fashion Is For Models. STYLE Is For Real Women.

The fashion world has always favored skinny models to show off the latest trends. But it's the real women who actually buy them. Why does this make sense? Well I guess when it comes right down to the brutal truth, people buy things that look good. And lets face it, clothes look better when they are smaller. It's kind of like when I go into a store to try on shoes and the one on display that I am attracted to is a size 6 or 7 and then the sales clerk brings out my size (9 or 9/2) and I'm like "That's not the same shoe, is it? The one on display looks different!" The clerk tells me that it is in fact the same shoe. Suddenly, I don't want to try it on anymore. FALL for Flowers!

There are no rules in fashion. It's just about achieving a look that is your best and that you feel good in. Who says plaid is the only print you can wear in the fall? Now, don't get me wrong. The Necessary Black T-Shirt

I have to admit, I have not been getting dressed up much these days. I think it has something to do with just wanted to be comfortable. I have been sewing a ton of masks at The Maine Square and it just feels better to not be confined in my clothing as I am cutting fabric and sewing. However, I do have to go out of the studio occasionally. Mostly it's to the mailbox, but sometimes it's to get more supplies and of course food. I don't mean to sound pretentious or anything, but I do think about how I look even when going out to do these quick errands. It makes me feel good to look half decent! Lately I have been opting for a simple black tee shirt and a pair of semi faded jeans. All I need to do it pop on a camel colored blazer and some ballet flats and I am good to go!
