My Top 5 New Years Resolutions

1. To be more adventurous in fashion and in the world. OK, so I might not ever be as adventurous as Lady Ga Ga, but thats just not me. Most importantly I must stay true to myself, which can go both ways in the sense of being adventurous. Meaning that if I want to try something new I must do it and not hold back because someone might think I am "different." We are all "different" and that is what is special about us. What is most important is that within all of my trying new things I must stay true to myself and just be a good person. 2. To take more photos of my fashion craziness. This is something I need to get better at. I typically take my own fashion photos so it is sometimes difficult to be alone in my house. I need to make my husband take them I guess. He sometimes isn't the best photographer.....His poor photography can't possibly be the fault of the person he is photographing....right??? ha ha ;) 3. To make more fashion videos and not feel l...

Fresh Coat Update ~ N.Y.C. Long Wearing Nail Enamel in "Scandalous Blue Glitter"

I decided that I needed something new and different on my nails for New Years. Instead of the usual holiday red tones, I decided to go with something a little less expected. This polish by N.Y.C. in "Scandalous Blue Glitter" is just what I needed. Something light, fresh, and airy to bring in the new year. The color in the bottle may frighten you, but don't let it fool you. I put three coats on my nails and they turned out very pretty with a greenish blue iridescence. And I must not forget to mention how inexpensive it was......$2.00!! And it stays on well too :)

I'm In The Mood For Fresh New Hair

Now that I have decided to grow my hair out and have actually come pretty far, Scarlett Johansson had to go and chop hers off and look completely adorable! I love this choppy do. This is how I wore my hair today. This photo of Camilla Belle styled in a half-updo was my inspiration. I know, I should have taken a picture. That is one of my new years resolutions.....to keep that camera going and take more photos of my fashion craziness. I just heard that Natalie Portman is going to be one of the most talked about celebrities in 2011. I believe it!! She has so much going for her including a nomination for an oscar for the movie Black Swan, making 3 more movies in 2011, getting married, and having a baby! But right now I am obsessing over her side chignon. As I am being challenged to grow my hair out, I shall keep looking at this picture and trying this style until my hair is finally long enough to look as gorgeous as Natalie's. Zoe Saldana's braided updo is so beautiful an...

Winter Woes Are Not So Bad {if you have the right accessories}

Here I am wearing my new jeweled hat from Talbots. I love it! It's so cozy and warm. I even wear it in the house! And I don't even have to worry about my hair.  The make up I am wearing is an array of a few brands. My friend Carrie gave me this gorgeous cool tones eye shadow palette from Aerie for Christmas. It is really pretty and it has a lot of sparkle. Now I can sparkle just like the snowflakes! My blush is Christian Dior Pro Blush in hip peach. I had to have this when I saw that Charlize Theron was wearing this on the red carpet. You just apply it with a soft touch of your fingers. My eyeliner is by Revlon in a shade called brushed pewter, and my mascara is Grow Luscious by Revlon as well. {see a close up of my eye below}

On The 25th Day Of Christmas......

On the 25th day of Christmas my REAL true love gave to me.......   ........this to die for vintage cameo ring that he found at the Antique Marketplace & Cafe on Main St. in downtown Bangor Maine. He knows what I like, that's for sure!! I couldn't imagine what he got me when he told me that he hoped that I liked it since it was non refundable, because he was able to talk them into selling it to him for a really great price. Who would ever want to bring this little beauty back??? Not I, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! Merry Christmas to one and all!!
