Today Is..... "What Did You Buy?" .....Friday!!

Believe it or not, after doing a day of research, these riding boots by Nine West Vintage Collection are the winners! My day of research consisted of trying just about every single synthetic boot on in the Bangor, Maine Mall. Why synthetic you ask? Well, because I don't really have the cash to spend on a real leather boot at this very moment. Or so I thought. I ended up with these, which are in fact real leather and ON SALE at Macy's. I decided that these were the ones after trying on a ton of cool riding type boots because they actually will work with my skirts as well as over my slim leg jeans as I am wearing them here. They seem to be sleek and not bulky which is what I found most riding boots to be. Some riding boots seemed to even make noise when I walked! (It was the buckle rattling. Very annoying) Do you have a pair of riding boots for fall? If so, what kind did you choose?

Fashion Is For Models. STYLE Is For Real Women.

The fashion world has always favored skinny models to show off the latest trends. But it's the real women who actually buy them. Why does this make sense? Well I guess when it comes right down to the brutal truth, people buy things that look good. And lets face it, clothes look better when they are smaller. It's kind of like when I go into a store to try on shoes and the one on display that I am attracted to is a size 6 or 7 and then the sales clerk brings out my size (9 or 9/2) and I'm like "That's not the same shoe, is it? The one on display looks different!" The clerk tells me that it is in fact the same shoe. Suddenly, I don't want to try it on anymore. So, I just want to tell all you ladies out there who are not a size 4 in a dress that I get it. But we can't let it bother us. FALL for Flowers!

{Leifsdottir Alegrias tiered floral skirt} Totally unpredictable and completely cool. Flowers for fall are exactly what you need to take your "I miss summertime" blues away. There are no rules in fashion. It's just about achieving a look that is your best and that you feel good in. Who says plaid is the only print you can wear in the fall? Now, don't get me wrong. Plaid is one of my favorite patterns. So maybe we can mix them together! {See below} Flower patterns are fun and so glamorous during any season. The Necessary Black T-Shirt

I have to admit, I have not been getting dressed up much these days. I think it has something to do with just wanted to be comfortable. I have been sewing a ton of masks at The Maine Square and it just feels better to not be confined in my clothing as I am cutting fabric and sewing. However, I do have to go out of the studio occasionally. Mostly it's to the mailbox, but sometimes it's to get more supplies and of course food. I don't mean to sound pretentious or anything, but I do think about how I look even when going out to do these quick errands. It makes me feel good to look half decent! Lately I have been opting for a simple black tee shirt and a pair of semi faded jeans. All I need to do it pop on a camel colored blazer and some ballet flats and I am good to go!
