Two Boyfriends Are Better Than One!

................well, when it comes to clothing anyway. Please don't take that literally! I don't want to get you into too much trouble!

What I mean is, when it comes to fashion, there are the two boyfriend styles that you MUST have in your wardrobe. The boyfriend cardigan, and the boyfriend jean.

The meaning behind "boyfriend" is really, lived in, worn out and over sized. You know, like he wore it for a long time and you borrowed it because you didn't bring a clean change of clothing for the next morning. And we know you will never give him these items back!

I believe the best way to style "boyfriend" pieces is to keep your look ULTRA feminine. A boyfriend cardi worn over a pretty dress always works. A pair of boyfriend jeans worn with a flowy or lacy blouse looks awesome. Just remember to pretty it up the best you can when wearing the "boyfriends" and you won't go wrong.

Fashion Is For Models. STYLE Is For Real Women.

The fashion world has always favored skinny models to show off the latest trends. But it's the real women who actually buy them. Why does this make sense? Well I guess when it comes right down to the brutal truth, people buy things that look good. And lets face it, clothes look better when they are smaller. It's kind of like when I go into a store to try on shoes and the one on display that I am attracted to is a size 6 or 7 and then the sales clerk brings out my size (9 or 9/2) and I'm like "That's not the same shoe, is it? The one on display looks different!" The clerk tells me that it is in fact the same shoe. Suddenly, I don't want to try it on anymore. So, I just want to tell all you ladies out there who are not a size 4 in a dress that I get it. But we can't let it bother us. FALL for Flowers!

There are no rules in fashion. It's just about achieving a look that is your best and that you feel good in. Who says plaid is the only print you can wear in the fall? Now, don't get me wrong. The Necessary Black T-Shirt

I have to admit, I have not been getting dressed up much these days. I think it has something to do with just wanted to be comfortable. I have been sewing a ton of masks at The Maine Square and it just feels better to not be confined in my clothing as I am cutting fabric and sewing. However, I do have to go out of the studio occasionally. Mostly it's to the mailbox, but sometimes it's to get more supplies and of course food. I don't mean to sound pretentious or anything, but I do think about how I look even when going out to do these quick errands. It makes me feel good to look half decent! Lately I have been opting for a simple black tee shirt and a pair of semi faded jeans. All I need to do it pop on a camel colored blazer and some ballet flats and I am good to go!
